EMT Job Application in San Diego

Hello,
I recently got my NREMT and over the last week I applied to every ambulance company in San Diego County. My question is for those of you who have don online applications for companies in San Diego: how long does it take to hear back?

That is my main question because I am just sitting here waiting. Since all my applications were online or by email is there anything else I can do to expedite my hiring?
 
It all depends on who you apply for. With Rural/Metro it takes anywhere from one to two weeks to hear if an interview has been extended. I'm not sure how long it takes with the other BLS companies in the county though.
