Hello everyone! I'm a new EMT,I put my name on the FDNY EMS list and taking the Civil test in September 2014. I volunteer at my local fire department and i ride with the paid ambulance crew to gain some experience. But until if/when i get onto the FDNY im applying at private ambulance companies for experience. What companies pay he most?,I know some start you at like $10/hr,that is a little ridiculous in my opinion. So far i applied at Hunter EMS,EAS,Lifestar,Stonybrook and im waiting for NSLIJ to start hiring again to apply.
