EMT-B job outlook while doing paramedic

Hi everyone, I'm new to EMTLife and I had a couple questions.

I hope to start my EMT-B course this fall here in Oregon at Lane Community College, and I'm just wondering what the job outlook is, or what kind of jobs I can expect in Oregon, after I finish EMT-B and take the test, while I also continue on to getting my Associates in Paramedic. Hopefully I can use my EMT basic training to work while I finish the paramedic program.

Also, I work as a wildland firefighter during the summer, does that help my prospects any?

I would call rural metro ambulance and see if they have any part time openings. Dallas ems has volunteer jobs as a basic...
