Hi, I want to become a paramedic but most programs I want to attend require at least 6 months of experience. I am registered as an EMT-B already and was wondering if I join the army for the 68W i believe its called then would that count as experience? I know some people say civilian and army license is different and it might not, so what are my choices. Thank you! Also, I am completing my Ambulance license at the moment and wills till apply for jobs, but should the army be an option for me?

your best bet is to contact the schools you want to go to. Some may say yes some may say no.

The school I went to in Maine counted 68w as experience in most cases.

This. It all depends on the paramedic school you plan on going to. Contact them and they will be able to give you an answer.
