EMT and LEO

Hello all. I start EMT-B next Tuesday, aspiring to make it to the Paramedic level...the other side of the scenario is that I am married to a cop. So, you can see how the jokes and bantering has escalated within my house. Have you guys had any experience with EMT's and LEO's being married?

There is a woman in my EMT class married to a cop.

I know 2 NYC cops/paramedics married to paramedics. Seems like any normal marriage I guess.

They usally met through emergency services to begin with.

I know another couple, FDNY firefighter and his wife was a volunteer EMT at the time they met. The wife became a medic started working for the local paid medic service. She had a baby. 9/11 happened. The firefigher quit FDNY, became a medic and works for the same local medic service. I saw his last Friday for the first time 2002 on a call.

Yes. I married one of each at the same time. Major cat fight when they found out about each other. The EMT got pepper sprayed and the LEO got covered in D50 (Don't laugh...that :censored:'s freakin' impossible to get off).






















Sorry, I just couldn't resist. No, I don't have any experience like that, but at least they should be considerate of each other's freaky work hours...
