Hi all.. I am thinking to do an emergency medical responder course. What is your opinion about this?

Are you a volunteer firefighter, security guard or camp counselor? These people have opportunities to act as a medical first responder. If you answered yes, then great.

If you're looking to start in EMS, go take an EMT class.

For Camp Counselor I would recommend WFR over EMR, if they recognize it.
But most WFR institutes today offer double certification courses (WFR-EMR) anyway.

Without more info, why? The pinnacle, the end goal, is paramedic. Why start at EMR, then possibly EMT, and then paramedic ? Go for the gold, as they say. It's like going for CNA, then LPN, then RN. Makes no sense, but again, you don't give much info.

It depends upon what your goals are. If you work as, say, an accountant, and you want to take an advanced version of first aid, then an Emergency Medical Responder course is a great course to take. If you have different goals, however, there might be a course that's better suited to you. Tells us a little about yourself and what your goals are.
