Some time ago I was told to make sure I enter the patients sex into our LifePak because the algorithm used is dependent on sex. This is basically saying that a 12 lead for a male is different than one for a female. But no one knew what the differences might actually be physiologically. Does anyone know? I thought it might be something as simple as electrical skin resistance. Could it be something physiologically different with the heart itself?

The values for a normal QTc are different for males and females.
