Drug screening required for ADL/medical examine??

Does CA DMV require a drug screening with the medical examination for the Ambulance drivers license??
That would be an additional $100 if a drug screening is required and i'm clear from any illegal substances. Also where cant i get a cheap medical exam, i'm quoted at $100 at the clinic?? Please Help!!

CA DMV instructions state" That employers will tell you whether or not your medical exam should include a a drug test."
 
Any MD or DO is able to do the exam. You could check with your parent's PMD if you don't have one. Also check occupational med clinics.

No, a drug test isn't required.
 
We get a lot of California threads. Maybe EMTLife need's it's own section entitled "California EMS"
 
Like how Florida has it's own Fark tag?

This past year I believe FL did lead for news of the weird in the EMS category to give us the FARK tag.
