DFW Medic Programs

Out of a morbid sense of curiosity.

I've heard that there are some Fire and/or EMS services around the DFW area that will work with EMT-Bs to either schedule around or pay for medic training.

Thoughts and info much appreciated

Most fire services will do this. After 6 months of service CareFlite has a tuition reimbursement program. I think it is 2000 a year. They also get a discount with one of the medic programs in Dallas I believe.

They will work with your schedule.

Not sure about Medstar or AMR. But from what I've heard / experienced, Medstar is not as schedule friendly. All EMTs I know there had to do an online medic program in order to get it done while working for them.
