no matter who you are and where you go everyone is gonna have a different deffintion of what can and cannot be considered a save. i definately belive that anyone anywhere can "save" a life. but i shall not go into that at this point in time. LOL save that for another day when i feel the need to type for an extended period of time. 
now on the side of do we get awarded and such for saving a pt life? absolutely not well not the side of the city or recognized by our district. its what we are payed to do. but as a whole we as employees to recognize eachother for "lives saved" and that stems from cardiac arrest to the need for a blanket and a cough drop (im not kidding). but thats as far as it goes for awards in our community.
