I am in the market for a cric trainer/simulator. I am looking for a bargain that will get me through about 200 surgical crics annually. As much as I hate to, I need to do this on the cheap. Up front cost is not so much an issue as cost associated with the support. I don't need anything fancy at all. I have been using sheep tracheas, but the logistics are a bit of a pain and I would rather have something I can reuse. I like the look of one of the cheap Simulaid necks but don't yet know how many uses I can get out of it (still waiting to hear) Anyone have anything they recommend?

Thanks
Jeff

200? I have used Simulaids and no way of getting that many without changing the skins repeatedly.

Wish, I had better offer but the maybe other than sheep another butcher type material.

Yea, 200 is a bit. I am still waiting to hear back from the distributor regarding how many times I can use the skin prior to replacement, a lot I hope. The sheep trachs I get are nice and long and serve my purposes well, but they are not quick to put into place and tend to be a bit of a pain when it comes to storage and prep.

We have always used pig trachs. They are very close to a human trach and I think they give you as close to a real life experience, as you can get.
