I have been looking also into ER tech entry level jobs and came across several postings where the EMT license, skills and basic job requirements match.
Except...I also see a lot that current CPT-I license is requried.
I started googling to find out more but am still a bit lost as in where one would be able to be trained, one can learn phlebotomy in order to get that license.

Anyone knows an online list or database where I get some more information about this topic? If I find out that this license needs literally years of studying I might just scrap that thought, but I definitely wanna see more about it for now...

Thanks for any thoughts and input

Use da Google. Your search terms could easily be phlebotomy training oakland and I'm sure you'll find plenty of places that will gladly take your money and provide you the training...

I have my CPT-I I obtained it at a local Adult education school. Many ROP programs have it or Community Colleges. It is one semester in CC and they have accelerated at some schools. Really check around and compare prices. Also make sure they have an externship that will get you the required minimum 50 sticks. My school required 100 plus the 10 you practice at school on students. You need to pass the basic course and then advanced didactic course (all lecture) and a national exam. You could do it in a few months from start to finish if you do the accelerated but I do not recommend it. I took the normal semester length course. Cost me about $900 but included Clinical medical assisting and medical terminology. A few hundred if just Phlebotomy and add on for state license and national test fees. It is licensed through Dept of Public Health in CA. Good Luck!
