I recently went to my local DMV for ambulance certification test with my live scan, medical exam report, and state EMT card.

After the test I just got a pink receipt paper and nothing else.

Some older EMTs told me that there should be a green medical card, but others said the card is no longer issued.

Did I missed something here?
How should I prove to agencies that I passed my medical exam if DMV no longer issues cards?
Should I go talk to my physician for some other paper works?

Also, is this pink paper the actual "ambulance cert"? I thought it would be a card.

Appreciate for any response.

You went to the DMV for your ADL, which I believe the temp is flimsy pink paper, or for your Medical cert?

When you take your medical, the MD fills out the DL51 then and there. It's now a 8x10 paper that you keep in your wallet. Then you go drop off the med exam paperwork with the DMV and you're good to go.

When I first got hired, I had my GP fill out the green card, then dropped off all the paper work with the DMV.

^^^ This.
The DMV issues your ambulance drivers license. The pink is a temporary valid for 180 days, the permanent is the same size paper but white and is valid as long as your class c drivers license.
Your Medical Examiner's Card is no longer a green card as previously. Like Mufasa said, it's an 8x10 piece of paper that you carry with you. To get your ADL, you had to have a valid Med Exam card.
A prospective employer will ask for your NREMT, state EMT, BLS, drivers license, ambulance drivers license, medical examiners card (8x10 paper) and anything else they may well please.

So the med exam cards come from the MD? Guess I have to visit the clinic then.

Thank you for the responses.

To the best of my knowledge you could not be issued your ADL without a valid DL51/Med Exam card. Unless I misunderstood it sounds like you were issued your ADL. Did you go to your MD for a DOT physical? I'd look over whatever paperwork they gave you again. Did you have to present anything to the DMV other than your class c DL?

I was given a med exam booklet by DMV, which I had my MD filled out.
Then I brought it to DMV on my ADL test date with my CA grey card and live scan form.

That booklet filled out and signed by a physician is your medical exam card. Did they keep this paper or make a copy?

Well, DMV took the whole thing. I probably need to ask the physician for another copy.

When I first given the forms, DMV just told me to have my physician fill it then bringing it back. Didn't tell me that I need extra copies.

Hence I was under the impression that DMV would make it into a card for me afterward.

There have been some changes and I'm not 100% familiar. I'd give your MD a call, I'd say call the DMV but that's just about useless.
Based on what you're saying, it sounds like the new system is the DMV has your DL51 on record, and your valid ADL is all that's required. You could also call any company in your area and ask if they are still requiring a separate DL51 with the recent changes.
Maybe someone who's gone thru the process since the change can give some better clarification, but that's what I'd do in your position.

I was told that I didn't need a medical exam anymore to recert... That the DOT exam is for commercial drivers only.
