Hello,

While active duty in the United States Air Force 1980 -1986 I certified with the National Registry as an EMT-B, long since lapsed. Fast forward 2009, I am now a civilian contractor stationed in Afghanistan. Prior to deploying I went through training including the Combat Lifesaver (Edition C) course, but found it really lacking as a stand alone course. Fortunately, I’m stationed at a major base for the next few months and have the opportunity to take an EMT-B course offered through Central Texas College which includes clinicals. However, computer based testing is not available here yet and I will have to schedule that when home on my next leave.

In parallel with the CTC EMT-B course are there any worthwhile study guides, book or on-line, I can take advantage of to prepare for NREMT-B computer cert test this coming September?

I look forward to corresponding with this group in the coming months.

Cheers,
George
