Hello all,

I am not sure if this has been asked (title), but I have used the search feature without finding anything on the subject.

Are there any pros cons for either? I have heard college course are more knowledge based, whereas ROP is more hands on and knowledge. Or that ROP courses are better because they are taught by actual paramedics and firefighters.

Here in Anaheim, Ca. the price for both courses are about the same and they run about the same length of time (standard).

So, is one better than the other?

Thanks,
Leo

It might help if you actually told us what ROP was.

Most college EMT classes are taught by actual paramedics who are still working in the field....

Regional Occupational Program. It's normally an EMT or Fire program that is taught at a fire station purely by that departments personnel.

Sorry, it is NOCROP in Anaheim and the college course is at Santa Ana college.
