Hi new member:

So my Emt-B classes start in three weeks at Los Medanos College and I cant wait. I am also taking abnormial phsycology but missed out on physiology and anatomy. So my question is what other classes would be good to take. I do hope to eventually get Emt-P. thanks in advance for all suggestions.

to earn an associates degree or any degree, you'll need a bunch of general education classes. So take a wide variety of classes like biology, chemistry, history, mathematics, english, sociology, foreign language of your choice, religion, art, computer science, economics, Literature, music appreciation, microbiology, government, physics, geology, geography, etc, etc, etc. My point is, education is a good thing and all of the above classes would come in very handy for any profession including EMS.

Ditto... As well as English Composition and any other required subjects. I highly recommend a formal medical terminology course that requires phonetic portion. It irritates me to hear words mispronounced, they loose some creditability when trying to discuss a subject, yes their usually Latin based words.

Than the Paramedic Program

Sounds a like a good start... keep your head in the books, and good luck!
