Substantial damage to the passenger side. Looks like they were travelling at very high speed to almost shear the the rig down the middle like that. I hope, for the driver's sake, that she was within state law when responding. Thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the fallen Medic. Rest in peace.

Update:

David J. Gundle, 50, an employee of Clark Co. EMS was pronounced dead at Scott County Hospital. The accident is currently being described as the ambulance failing to negotiate a curve in the road striking a tree.

Saw this on my news here in Bloomington too. Terrible thing.
One of our rigs was hit by a drunk driver and rolled over the summer. Thankfully no one was hurt, but I can't say it looked any better than theirs did. That's too bad...
