Oh, the humanity!
Peabody High School students got a dramatic lesson in what caused the 1937 Hindenburg explosion when a beaker filled with hydrochloric acid blew up, spraying six youths with glass shards and the corrosive substance, a statement from the school read.
Fortunately, none of the students was seriously injured, though as a precaution, all six were treated at a local hospital.

I thought the Hindenburg suffered from the effects of humidity and a natural phenomenon called St. Elmos Fire, and when the mooring lines were dropped it caused a surge of static electricity that made the ship electrify and catch fire?
