CEU, Dual license, double dipping

How can I determine if CEU's that I take as an RN, count towards my EMS license?

I understand that some are obviously compatible, such as ACLS and PALS, but what about a CEU for blood administration, palliative care, or leadership?

Does anyone have any helpful sites where I can find this information?

I know that you CAN double dip (thanks Lisa!)... i just want to know specifically do my CEUs have to be in emergent care to count towards my EMS license?

contact your state DOH (or whomever manages EMT CEUs) and ask them what nursing CEUs can count toward your EMT

I generally attend a couple of major conferences each year that offer accredited CEUs for many different recognized providers. Each license will have its own CE recognition. List both of your licenses on the registration and be sure to sign in on all the appropriate sheets at the conference. As already mentioned, contact the state for a list of approved CE providers as well as watch for national and state seminars.
