Hey people,
Question is I finished my course a year ago 5/22/09 and were on 5/22/10
I attempted for the second time to go ahead and retrieve my license at no success. At which point now im asking is it mandatory to take the whole EMT-B course all over because of the one year lapse or can I take a refresher/remedial course to get my credentials and paper work reinstated in the state/department of health.
I just dont want to get taken for an idiot and pay all for if its not mandatory.

Im in Florida if it does make a difference.

Why wouldn't you just call your state or local EMS office and get the information directly. If you are concerned with NREMT then call them. Asking questions on a forum seems pointless, but I'm also a hater and I'm sure someone will come along and help you out.

LoL, it is pointless when you want to find out and its a SAT _
But it'll be good to get a response from someone that's been through it, not someone wanting to make a point!

I do not know why the one year is of concern.

You still have one more try before a refresher is needed, but at this point I would recommend one....FMTI grad?

Well...supposedly you have one year from the time you complete the EMT-B course and get your license "Florida Training - Successful completion of EMT or paramedic course from a Florida Department of Health approved program http://www.doh.state.fl.us/demo/ems/TrainTest/FloridaApprovedTrainingPrograms10-2008.pdf (pdf - 115kb). You must pass the Florida required exam within one year of course completion. "

Now can I take a remedial of have to complete the whole course over is truly where im getting at?

Ill end up calling Monday!
