If you have worked EMS, you will hate the casino. I am currently working as an EMT in a casino and it sucks. I have had a few good medical incidents, but for the most part you are a security officer standing at a door or walking around. The pay is better than EMS, but not worth it in my opinion.

Worked as an EMT/Security Officer in a Casino in Reno a while back when I was between jobs. Hated every minute of it and would never do it again unless it was a true necessity. I would do a wheel chair van IFT gig first before I went back to a Casino. That was just me. Your mileage may vary.

I was a security guard/EMT in Atlantic City for a year and it was by the far the most miserable job i have ever held.

As an EMT i was less regulated than other security officers so that was nice, but my job as to pretty much walk the floor looking for the old people about to keel over or the drunks from NYC here for a bachelors party. I was incredibly depressing. You inhale a ton of second hand smoke. Its boring. The clients abuse you verbally. You have to go hands on with drunk guys "just looking to party". You meet a lot of prostitutes ( who are fun to party with but are terrible people)

The highlights were the employee discounts on food and stays and being on the beach. I also got in good with the kitchen staff so i would get the best food in the kitchen after i got off shift. And the occasional bachelorette party produced some memorable evenings.

Kinda like they said
I worked as security/EMT at a casino and I thought the job was great. Fairly chill, mix of duties, pay was good.
I suppose it varies heavily from casino to casino but I was at a smaller one that paid me well, my coworkers were pretty cool, and I am not hard to please. Though, like they said, you don't get a high frequency of interesting calls but you still get em once in a grand while. If you're driving hard for medical exposure, its not the best.

O and the food thing Bullets said
