Career Day Question

Hi I'm new here. I've been an EMT for two years, and I've done several career days, but the one I'm supposed to do tomorrow is different. This one is in front of my 7 year old and all the 2nd graders at his school. I have NO IDEA what to say to them. This one is on my own, and not through work, so I won't have the truck or any bags or other goodies to take with me. It's just me and my uniform. Anyone have any ideas what to say? I don't know why, I just got nervous all of a sudden.

Just give a simple explanation of what an emt does. Then do a little demonstration with a stethoscope and some galls or something. End by explaining how and when to activate the ems system. Let us know how you do and welcome to the forum.

I also like to have a large teddy bear and a small box of dressings and a NRB for the bear. I let the little ones bandage the bear and "give it O2". It is a great hands on and lets them know how we take care of people. By the way, welcome to the tribe!!
