Hello,

I have read all the threads about Care but none were really specific to my questions and none were really that recent. My question is what specifically is done for the background investigation for employment at Care as an EMT and if I have only had my drivers license for six months when I apply, will I run into issues. The same questions apply to Doctors Ambulance in OC.

Thank you for any answers.

Respectfully,

Hey there, Im a bit out of touch with Care, but how old are you? Any Accidents? Any legal problems?

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I'm 22. No legal problems, no parking violations, no speeding tickets. Is a credit check still performed, if so, how in depth.

I'm not sure how in depth the credit check is my understanding is that it is a basic consumer check making sure you have no crippling dept or anything, but one benefit of living in California is you are able to request a copy of the credit check.

good news is that you are over 21 years of age, no legal or driving problems so you will be insurable by the company. Hopefully your credit check comes back fine (mine is far from perfect and it has never given me any problems as far as employment). Best of luck to you bud, one thing I can say is try to get experience anyway you can and start prepping for interviews.

Hey bud saw your post here and thought I'd offer some info. I worked for Care for 5 years as an emt and you don't have to worry about the background check at all man. It's seriously a very quick credit check type thing that won't slow you down from employment at all. Second the drivers stuff should be fine. They might make you do extra drivers training if your a little sketchy but I bet you'll be ok. You don't start driving until after 2 or 3 months of employment. During that I'm all you do is ride in the back and work on patient contacts and how to work with paramedics and do your simple emt skills. You should seriously have no problem at all with any of it man.
