We recently lost our Cardizem syringes and were told they no longer exist. Instead we received a 100ml bag NS and a vital containing 100mg powdered Cardizem that screws into the top of this special 100ml bag. At this point we must squeeze the bag and then use our thumb to pull out the rubber stopper which then falls freely into the bag. Now we shake to reconstitute the Cardizem and piggyback it in. sksmedic recently popped the cherry on this and after discussion it was decided just to draw up the dose in a syringe and administer the slow IVP after the bag was mixed. This was ok with our MC so I think this is how we will proceed. What is the rest of the world doing here??? Are the syringes still out there and if so from whom do you get them???
