Packed up the kidlets and went to best buy today. Was getting them out when I heard a horn go off, kind of like someone was laying on it. Looked over my shoulder and heard a smash against chain link. A car had just ran into the fence. At first I thought someone went up a bit too far... so I waited and watched as the car rolled back, then ran into the fence again. I then became concerned someone had passed out in the car and the horn sound I heard was a head against a steering wheel. So I ran over there thinking it was a hell of a way to practice for my pt assessment evaluation on Monday and there was no one in the damn thing. Someone had gotten out, left the car in neutral and it drove itself across the lot and into the fence. The horn was someone honking at it as the car almost plowed into them. :o

Fortunately for you the vehicle didn't run you over. You could have practiced the first part of pt. assessment - scene safety.

Yeah, but step two is....

"RAMPART, the patient is invisible...".
Aw forget it!;)

Start an IV of methylene blue to SEE the pt.

See my related/next post.

The car was going in the opposite direction, it was stopped and I was approaching it from the side. Don't be so quick to lecture.

Bunkie, what if you opened the door and a swarm of rabid bats came out?

I presumed you practiced scene safety. as you saw fir.
