So I took my EMT-B class last fall semester, it went great and I was the top of my class. I took the NREMT in January and passed on the first try. I really wanted to work as an EMT this summer, so I put in applications to 3 different ambulance services. I had an interview for one place back in April, they said they would let me know within a week, never did and they never answered me when I tried to follow up. At the end of May I had an interview somewhere else and they never contacted me again either. And then a week and a half ago I had yet another interview somewhere else and I was really hopeful about this one because they called the day after and asked to do a background check. I thought that was a good sign, but should it be taking this long? All these companies are ALS services, btw. Do they not want me because I don't have any experience yet, or am I just that bad at interviews? I'm starting to get really discouraged. :/ In the meantime I'm working as a home health aide.

And you would live where? Criminal history? Driving history? Any previous work experience? Any degrees? Is this your first job? Are you under 21/25(insurance reasons) there's a ton of questions anybody here would need answered before even debating trying
To offer assistance.

Have you ever interviewed for anything else? If so, what were the positions and outcomes?
