California EMS certification

I was wondering how it works from county to county. That is to say, I live in San Bernardino County and want to get certified by ICEMA(our local agency). I also live close to the Riverside and Orange County. If I get certified by my county would I need to do the entire process to work in Riverside or Orange?

For EMT no you do not need to do anything else for Riverside County (REMSA). For the OC I believe they make you take an additional "expanded scope" cert that goes over medications you learned about in your EMT class pretty much.

For Medic every county is different and you will have to go through each counties process separately.
