Does anybody out there work in california as a critical care medic or know about the scope for one? I'm having issues finding it on the emsa website.

It just came into law. I know of no one that has be licensed so far but I'm just one person.

State scope can be found starting at the bottom of page 5 here: http://www.emsa.ca.gov/laws/files/ParamedicRegs2013.pdf

All of this is in addition to the "basic" paramedic scope

LEMSA.
1. set up and maintain thoracic drainage systems;
2. set up and maintain mechanical ventilators;
3. set up and maintain IV fluid delivery pumps and devices;
4. blood and blood products
5. glycoprotein IIB/IIIA inhibitors
6. heparin IV
7. nitroglycerin IV;
8. norepinephrine;
9. thrombolytic agents;
10. maintain total parenteral nutrition

Some of our supervisors were CCP back in the day but I don't believe CCP has been a recognized level in CA for a while.
