Hi everyone. I just have a quick question. I have heard through the grapevine that there are going to be classes and programs available to bridge the gap between NREMT-I and NREMT-P. Has anyone heard that?? Does anyone know of any details? I am taking an EMT-C class (RI doesnt recognize EMT-I) and would love the chance to get to the medic level using the skills I would already have. Any thoughts?

Yes, they're real and they have existed for a long time, but it's more in the basis of you getting time credit at the college you'll be taking your medic at.

Depending on the school, it could be a semester or two, or just a class in the first semester that you get credit on and don't have to retake.

Contact your school and find out what they do.
