this one isn't nearly as cut and dry as previous charges... however, as a general rule, restrained people shouldn't be placed face down on the cot during transport... it could end poorly for all involved

Sounds like he effed up all around, then lied.
 
Would have been a fine call if the guy didn't die. Droperidol is a great drug for that kind of thing and 5 mg in a 36 year old contributing to that outcome strongly suggests other stuff in play as well. Should have been just fine, even prone. Optics of the body cam footage are pretty poor as well, but it bears reminding, if someone is being sedated in the field, it could be very likely turn into a polypharmacy condition. Never regretted starting smaller and moving the dose up as needed.
