I took my test about a week ago quite honestly I hadn't studied much since the end of class other than a massive 3 day cram session before I tested. With that being said, I didn't do to well. I'm pretty overwhelmed because I don't even know where to start with studying. I'm also somewhat embarrassed because my father was a really well known EMT in the area and everyone recognizes my name (I'm a JR).

I've started rereading the book and taking practice tests in my workbook for each chapter and rereading the pages listed for each question I've gotten wrong.

I'm curious as to how other people studied and I'm open to just about any other methods. Am I on the right track? Should I reread the entire book?

First off craming is bad. There have been a lot of studies that say after about and hour or so of studying the brain stops remembering things as well as it did when you started, so studying long is not the answer. What it sounds like to me is that you just had a bad case of the nerves. If I were you I would put down the books for a few days relax. If you don't already have jblearning I would get it; after you get that take a few practice test until your scoring well, then the day before your retest don't do anything. Throw the books out the window if you have to, because if you don't know it the day before studying isn't going to help. Then all you have to do is go in and pass the test. The NREMT B is not hard it is just what it says it is BASIC. Don't let failing get you down. You know the material if you didn't you wouldn't have passed your class. You just have to relax and TAKE YOUR TIME when you go to retake the test read everything twice. I have made some stupid mistakes because I read things to fast. I hope this helped a little bit. Good luck with you retest I am sure you can do it. If you have anymore questions please fill free to ask these forums have helped me more than you will ever know:lol:
