I am in the process of finishing up EMT school and just found out that we have to do a 5-page paper on the subject of our choice (as long as it is something that is discussed in our book). I am looking for some suggestions...any help is appreciated. Thanks so much!
 
Open your book, find something you are interested in, write about it. Shouldn't be too hard. Good luck!
 
Now while Flight-LP's remark is true, my advice would be find what you enjoyed in the class first and then choose your topic. For example, I really enjoy cardiology, so for my paramedic classes I try to choose cardio related topics so that I can at least find them interesting. As for BLS, maybe you could do something no one else will do, such as look into your local protocols and maybe write about new upcoming BLS protocols that will affect you and a new provider or change soon. Anywho, good luck with it and look of it as a way to make you more knowledgeable out in the muck.
 
I must be backwards. I'd pick something I was shaky on since doing the research for the paper would solidify the knowledge for me.
 
Out of curiosity, is it normal for an EMT-B course to have a certain writing requirement such as writing papers? The only reason I ask is because as it is I'll be writing a good amount of lab reports for botany and zoology next semester and I'd like to know if I'm going to be even more miserable on writing. :P
 
It is true, write about something you like!! good luck!:)
 
I would recommend Shock... lots to go on there.. at LEAST 5 pages worth.. and knowledge that you'll use in many situations. Just a thought.

I did my emt paper on ems systems giving an overview of our system and comparing it to others

I've got to write a resonably long paper for English that argues for a position on a "controversy"

I'm thinking AutoPulse, but first I have to figure out which side I'm on!
