I am everyone's white cloud. Everyone teases me because everything I can find the good in everything. I have been called Little Miss Susnshine more than Little Miss Sunshine has.

So when I have a run of "bad calls"..... well as awful as it may seem.... I am actually pretty excited. FINALLY, something to flex my brain just a little. By Tomorrow morning I will have worked 108 hours in 6 days. In the past 24 hours of work I have had......


1 "Alpha Response" for Nausea end up being delivered to the ER being Paced and Intubated. She wasn't feeling well all day. She broke down and called us at 2300hrs.

1 GSW, in the back- out the ABD, in a 10 month old boy. Apparently, there was some comparison of guns going on, and the baby ended up shot.

1 Rollever MVC, partial ejection, head still under the truck. DOA.


I'm off today....

Can't wait for tomorrow!

Unfortunately, with all the emphasis these days on extreme this and Xtreme that, we now are enjoying the reign of the extreme idiot. As soon as you say "no one can be that bleeping stupid," they'll make an all-out effort to prove you wrong.

The only plus is that it provides law enforcement, fire and ems with job security.
 
i understand that too with the whole job security thing. but along with wanting to be a LEO (and this is totally off topic and i apologize), i am aso a big 2nd ammendment advocate. and its bozos like this that just feed the anti's fire. making it all the worse for us responsible gun owners. grrrrrrrr!!!!!:angry:

i do hope tho, and im not going to be surprised if i dont get the answer that im hoping for, that the baby will be ok. but it doesnt sound good. not the way princess described it. :(

He was alert, and screaming his baby head off.

As of yesterday evening he was hanging in there. Was headed for a second surgery possibly today.
 
well, im gonna keep the little guy in my prayers and thoughts for right now. and i hope the cops nailed the SOB to the wall who's responsible.:glare:
 
I went on a GSW call. Turns out Mom was drunk, playing with a BB gun and put a BB in her 14 YO son's collarbone. Son was more worried about mom getting in trouble than he was with the injury. I believe the words were... "She didn't mean it, she was just drunk". Now there's a kid with a bright future!

Alcohol and guns are never a good combination. Hmmm instead of trigger locks, maybe we should have those breathalyzer thingies that they use on cars.......

Nah, then the states would have to raise fuel or candy bar tax to account for the 90% drop in hunting license sales... :o

Okay, I don't know about where you live, but around here, the beer and copenhagen sales would more than make up for the lost revenue.
