Interesting story about a paramedic who was actually a Good Samaritan!

Off-duty paramedic rescues man who sawed arms full story HERE

He was shopping at a Home Depot and some guy decided to cut his own arms off. What did Art Hurtado do? (And where do I know that name?)

He intervened; and he wasn't even on duty!

The 21-year veteran...
* said he would have used his shoelaces if none was available.
* (used rope from the store) and shop towels to make a tourniquet for one arm.
*was working without protective gloves, cleaned up with hand sanitizer.

21 years; doesn't he know any better? How could he be a paramedic? I seriously had to doubt it when I read this as a conclusion:
"It's just things you do instinctively. I'm here to serve," he said. "Any one of my brothers and sisters in the department would have done the same thing."

Do you believe that?

Better yet, would YOU!
