Hey everyone, I was looking for some input from those of you located in Arizona. I'm looking to move out towards the Pheonix area and surrounding cities (Buckeye, Mesa, Peoria, Scottsdale) and it seems the two big providers are Maricopa and AMR.
I currently work for AMR in another state and our EMT starting rate is $17/hr. So I guess what I'm getting at is I need some help deciding whether to try to stay with AMR and transfer or apply to Maricopa. Looking for input from those of you who work/worked for either one or both, which company do you prefer for this area? I've been hearing AMR is slowly losing their 9-1-1 contracts to Maricopa as well.
