Hi,
I just passed National on Sept. 2 and got state licensed on Sept. 12 here in California. The problem is, I'm moving to Indiana in the next couple of months. I called IDHS and they said i'll have to take some test to get my state cert there. Any info as to the nature of those tests? And any other tips would be appreciated. Also any info regarding whether or not i'll need to get an ambulance drivers license endorsement there. Any EMS professionals from Indiana please contact me. I'm feeling pretty lost right now.

Indiana has no ambulance driver endorsement. California is the only state I know of with that. The other stuff I can't help you with, unfortunately. Good luck

I'm from Indiana. Indiana has a state cert, Public Safety ID (PSID) which had all of your certs under one number, whether they are EMS, fire, etc. Only a regular drivers license is required.
I took the state test 8 years ago when I was first certified. It has probably changed since then, but i remember it being easier than my class final test.

Thanx so much. Im just all worried for some reason. Even though i probably have nothing to worry about as i passed my class final with an 84% and my National registry shut off at 71 questions. For some reason tests make me nervous....

I saw somewhere online that you only have one chance at the test???!!! is that true?? Kinda ridiculous not?

I don't know about the one chance, because it only took me one try. I think you can take it more than once, but I'm not sure.
