analgesic for CVA patient

hi guys ,
i have a question about patient who suffer previously from CVA
what can he take for back pain ??
he was on : aspirin 100 , lipitor 20 mg , plavix 75 mg and convertin 20 mg

this case was discussed between me and my friend because there a physician who prescribed celecoxib to that patient
and i know the risks of celecoxib at CVA ... so i need to know what the alternative here
by the way i am a clinical pharmacist

What's his deficit from the stroke? How old is he? Hx other than stroke? Does his back pain produce functional deficit?

Can he do PT?

APAP?
 
Lidoderm patch and Tramadol or Flexeril. Or any of the APAP/Narcotic (Norco, Percocet)
