Ambulance strike to go ahead as talks with union fail

LAST-DITCH talks to try to avert an ambulance strike in North Staffordshire have broken down.

Union leaders are to issue one week's notice of industrial action by staff at the Trentham depot of private company E-Zec which ferries hundreds of "high-dependency" patients around the University Hospital of North Staffordshire site every month.
