anybody have any info about them and their interview process is, having a interview within a few days

basically its strictly IFT only you get to say you work for a FD, you are limited to ~480 hrs a year, so dont expect it to be full time. they ask a lot of situational/scenario type of questions.
pay is decent from what i remember ~15/hr
good luck. dress up (obviously)

Probably. From Alameda Fire's website:
In Alameda the Fire Department provides ambulance first responder (fire engine or truck) and transport provider (ambulance) services. In other parts of the County a private ambulance company provides the transport services. So, for example, if you are involved in a medical emergency in Hayward, a Hayward Fire Engine and a Paramedics Plus ambulance will show up.

There are 5 zones in Alameda County. I don't know why all these counties like to have 5 zones, lol. Actually somebody told me they merged zone 2 and 3. Dunno what difference that makes though?

Zone 1: Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, and Piedmont.

Zone 2: Oakland and Emeryville.

Zone 3: Hayward, San Leandro, and Castro Valley.

Zone 4: Newark, Fremont, and Union City.

Zone 5: Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore.

Paramedics Plus responds to 911 calls in zone 2-5. Each city's Fire Department in zone 1, including Alameda, does their own ambulance transports. I think Paramedics Plus just responds to zone 1 as mutual aid.

I personally don't know too much about Alameda's Fire Department. I have been in the city of Alameda many times, and I have never seen their BLS ambulances. I've seen their ALS ambulances plenty though. Couldn't tell you about who they are contracted with if any, type of calls they run, how busy they are, their pay or benefits, etc. I've seen job openings and couple of times and was curious to see what this thread would produce.
