Air Medical mid-air collision

2 dead in a small single engine aircraft after it collided with a landing PHI helicopter. Med crew not reported to be harmed and helicopter was able to land safely.

Jesus Christ....I saw this thread and thought we were in for a repeat of Flagstaff.

I used to work with some people who at one point flew for that particular program.

I hate living in fear of another HEMS crash, somethings got to change.

It'll only happen under two circumstances:
1. The reimbursement for medical helicopter flights dries up or becomes tied to medical necessity.
2. The FAA puts their boot even further up the butt of the industry.

I foresee #2 happening first. If it turns out that the helicopter was at fault for this one, there is going to be hell and a couple of families to pay for it.
