i know from other threads that folks want to spend a fortune on automated compressions machines that have not been shown to improve outcomes...

however, the AHA has released a study showing that survival to hospital discharge after arrest doubles with quality CPR and impedance threshold device, such as the ResQpod..

has anyone had experience using this device?

they are starting to appear in ALS protocols for intubated patients in NYS.
 
One of the services near me has been using them for for a couple of years. The initial data showed promising changes, however; from what i have read lately describes it might be premature wishes. From what I have heard, the numbers might have been skewed and the costs at > $120 a pop without reimbursement is pretty high.
