I am an EMT-B student and looking for advice or words of wisdom from any experienced ems personal.

On what topic in particular? This entire forum is pretty much advice of varying quality and words of "wisdom."

Just anything you would tell your younger self when you were studying that would have helped you become better faster, or things you wish someone would have told you sooner rather then later. It will all be appreciated.

1.Don't be a whacker
2.Pay attention in class
3.Read your book
4.Don't be a whacker
5.Listen to your experienced co-workers and instructors
6.Don't be a whacker

Honestly, don't stress yourself out. If you can pass a high school class you can pass EMT-B. Oh, and did I say dont be a whacker?

From personal experience-

1. Do not wage a war with dispatch. You will never win.
2. Always make sure the pram is actually in the ambulance before you leave the hospital.
3. If responding from a station, remember to switch into your boots when the tones drop. Showing up in hot pink crocs is apparently frowned upon.
4. If someone calls 911 saying there's a "snake coming out of their genitals", don't call it "trouser snake command" on scene size up over the radio.
