i thought there had been a thread on this a while ago but couldnt find it. As you all know i am really bumbed cause my emt-b course was cancled due to low enrolment. So i was wondering if there are any onlne courses out there and how good they are. Is there anyone that could recomend one that you may know of?
thanks in advance and sorry if i reposted this

I don't personally know of any that are conducted online. I would recommend waiting for a traditional classroom course and prep yourself starting now by reading as much as you can. Buy an EMT textbook if you don't already have one and read the chapters. If you don't understand something in the book, research it online. If you do this, I promise you will be two steps ahead.

i looked into that before i signed up for my school the lady that i talked to said that none existed wither she was lazy or not i will never know :)

I wouldn't take an online class even if they existed. You need the in person time to learn backboarding, splinting, assessment, blood pressure etc. One option might be to take a WEMT class. They are more expensive but you can bang the whole thing out in a month.

I don't know where you are in Pennsylvania. JeffStat (Thomas Jefferson University Hospital) does have a "distance learning" program where you do the lectures online and then do weekly practical skill sessions on Saturday. They are in Philadelphia.

Here's a link.
