Advice for becoming a paramedic?

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for welcoming me too EMTLife. It's great that there is such a site!! I hope I am posting in the right place, I am a newbie! Anyway, I have been aspiring to become a paramedic for years and now that the funds are there for me to start classes, I was wondering if there are any other paramedics in Massachusetts (I am on the south coast in Bristol County) who could tell me the best schools for paramedic classes and any other advice medics in general might have for me! Quick question, have you finished a EMT program? Usually colleges offer both Basic and Paramedic certificates so I would suggest just going up the ladder that way. I know in my situation if I would have gone to medic school at my community college I would have had one on the same teachers that taught my emt b class, which would have been a good thing!
