Abusers hurting animals to get pain meds

We used to get people who said they owned horses so they could get OTC syringes…that's how long ago I worked in the feed store field.

Geez, zoonotic Muchausen.
 
Wow I thought the guy who brought his kids into the ED the other night trying to get Benzo's for his kids "anxiety" was bad.

It was a family affair that night, Dad came in with "welders flash", Then mom came in with "arthritis pain" then the two kids came in with "respiratory symptoms" and both have extreme anxiety as per their father.

So now we got people who beat their dogs, for expensive vet bills, to get some pain meds..

I still would be led to believe its cheaper to get them on the streets vs. a 600+ dollar ED visit.

There is a special place in hell for people who would do this. At least I hope so, anyway.

To me this is just another example of the unintended consequences of the draconian and failed "war on drugs". If these pathetic pieces of trash could get their fix elsewhere, they wouldn't be stealing from their neighbors and injuring their pets to get it.

Prescription drugs have gotten pretty hard to get on the street.....and these people probably aren't paying their own medical bills anyway, so they couldn't care less what they cost.
