911 Dispatcher: “OK. Did you want us to come over and shoot her?”

Knowing the full context of the incident, I fully agree that he should have kept his job. It was not intentionally disrespectful or dismissive of the caller's concerns. It was a stupid attempt to diffuse the situation with humour that simply wasn't well thought out. The guy has been a stellar employee for five years with no disciplinary history, and he now clearly understands that comedy is not part of his job. I anticipate no further problems.
