That's good. Like I said when I was there a few years ago they weren't getting in them that fast. And friends that still work there have said they weren't able to get on until just about the year mark. Good for you guys running wth fire so soon. Still doesn't make care this amazing place to...
Unless they have changed it due to expanding contracts and areas then yes a year is what you have to wait until you can get a fire shift that is yours. Picking up OT shifts on a 911 car is easy and of course you do not have to wait a year to pick those up.
Hello, we just did Impella certification and I had a little video on how it works. I was wondering can it be posted to show those who might not know about this?
Dude you aint lying! Right now its killer. I fly pts out of there and sitting on that tarmac in that heat is just crazy. Im glad to hear they are gonna put up more classes tho.
I can absolutely agree! The problems were mostly on the management side in the dark. The employees are great except for the ones that thought they were amazing and the best basic ever! lol. All the companies in OC have problems for sure. Emergency used to be the CARE back in the day and we see...
Well that's good for you mate. I am glad you have a good experience there. I know a lot of folks who love working there and I know many who don't. They do a lot of things right for their employees, as well as the fleet as a whole, but I didn't say anything that was a lie. They do make it near...
Whoa hold on, I admit the post comes off as bitter but believe me I am not. I never even worked as a CARE employee, but I did work with them a lot on other projects while I was with another provider. I got to know many of the crews as well as management. I did go through the hiring process and...
Hi, I am a Flight Paramedic located in New Mexico. I am new to forums in general. I recently went full time in flight and that has made it near impossible for me to carry my 3 jobs! I run a page on Facebook called, The Paramedic's Edge, and I have been looking into trying to do work for side...
I keep a trauma pack, water, road flares. I don't stop tho. Most of the time there is someone on the way, and most of the time they are out and walking around. I have stopped before and that was because the collision was in front of me blocking me from going anywhere. The passenger was a child...
Test is close to state BLS and mapping is covered as well. Then you'll do a medical and trauma assessment. They want it done just like the national registry. Theyll look into previous employment. The nice thing about there is its all 911 cars. Good luck
McCormick is not a bad place. Hawthorne is fun to run in as well. Just make sure you can work together in a team. Most of the fire crews might ignore you a little until they get to know you. Where were you working iFtS? Know your area and how to get to all the hospitals from anywhere in the...
