Penetrating traumatic arrest, work or not?

I'd call it as well. PEA greater than 30 or v-tach/fib gets worked with transport to closest unless trauma center is no more than 15 out. (Closest is a level 3 trauma, next is a community ER 30 mins away) Wide complex PEA 30 or less, pt shall be determined to be dead. Sent from my iPhone...

    What's for lunch?

Working on a 12 hour shift 6a-6p. Get up early and get breakfast on board. What do you guys pack for lunch? Trying to get a new lunch menu, sandwiches get old after a little while. Can run to my station with the fridge, but that's not always an option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Altered

Well, as previously stated.. New medic so bear with me... I learned two things on this call: 1. Severe sepsis can/will have cool skin. 2. Don't trust / rely on monitors BP. Should have taken manual BP on right. It threw me off cause I got two readings within 10 points. Also 20 minutes...

Pt goes unresponsive en route to hospital

To specify I was saying for this one particular scenario... Witnessed full arrest, 2 minutes from hospital, as an ALS provider, BLS before ALS. However because he is ALS an early defib can be done.

    Funny side story

    Another paramedic intern question

Thanks for the input. I'll update when I'm off my shift if it's still up. I think AM shifts will be quicker, but I am a night owl so... We'll see.

    Mccormick Ambulance

Like people have been saying, it helps to know someone. I got hired a few years ago. I gave them my application and within a month I was hired. It was a little different back then though.

Couple questions about San Luis Ambulance (CA)

Little info on me. 4 years working at McCormick in LaCo, getting tired of this city and want to get out. Most of my family lives in Paso Robles and Atascadero and I think it would be awesome to move up there. 1.) What is the/your general impression of San Luis Ambulance? Is it a decent...
