    Lenoir CC Outreach Program Update

More comfortable than a classroom...yes. Easier...no. You have to be self motivated. Again, nothing easy about it. It was equally as difficult as my Basic, Intermediate and Advanced classes. All of which were in a traditional class room setting. The advantage is being able to work on...

    Lenoir CC Outreach Program Update

Very challenging. There is nothing easy about the program. The flexible hours make it more manageable. If you don't read and do your weekly assignments, you will not make it.

    Lenoir CC Outreach Program Update

3 classmates including myself are all NREMT-P. All passed CBT and psychomotor examinations on first try. 1 class mate took the NC test and passed with no problem. 1 more should be testing very soon and I expect him to pass as well. It's a great alternative for those with busy schedules.

Lenior Community College EMS-Paramedic hybird program

I tested NR today and passed. LCC helped me acquire the knowledge that I needed. It's a great alternative to the brick and mortar.

Lenior Community College EMS-Paramedic hybird program

Latest. LCC was able to secure a contract with my local hospital. Between Lenoir Memorial and local, I was able to complete all my hours in about a 5 weeks. I'm currently waiting on the school to verify with National Registry. Once done, I'll go test NR. I have a better understanding of the red...

Lenior Community College EMS-Paramedic hybird program

At this point. I would not recommend the program. For all that is good and right with LCC, dealing with clinical coordinator has completely ruined the experience for me. What might possibly be the most important piece of the puzzle is without a shadow the weakest link in the program.

Lenior Community College EMS-Paramedic hybird program

You should be fine, purple butterfly. There are numerous options around the Charlotte area. One thing to consider. Go to a clinical setting that best benefits you. Example. If you go to a teaching hospital, they are going to look after their students first. Same for hospitals with residents...

    Online/hybrid Paramedic Program Success Stories?

No problem on the updates. I'm going from memory. I think 12 started. 1 dropped due to personal reasons and is enrolled in a future class. I can't speak for the other 3. PP is not that bad once you get the hang of it. It's just one more report to do and you know how we all hate reports. Good...

    Online/hybrid Paramedic Program Success Stories?

January update from Lenoir Community College. We're at the half way point. It's extremely fast paced. Almost too much at times. Honestly, you rarely/barely have time to read all the material. There are good power point presentations with every chapter plus you can use any other resource to...

    Online/hybrid Paramedic Program Success Stories?

Yes. They do have contracts with EMS and hospital systems in SC. I'm in Marion, SC. The closest that I have to choose from now are Murrells Inlet, SC and Lumberton, NC. Ride time is not a problem as long as your local service will have you. But, short answer is that LCC will do everything they...

    Online/hybrid Paramedic Program Success Stories?

I going through class at LCC now. We're in week 9. LCC has contracts with several EMS and hospital in SC. The closest to me is still about 1.5 to 2 hour drive. They are trying to secure contracts with my local EMS and hospital. I'm confident this will get done. The staff is very helpful. You can...

    Online/hybrid Paramedic Program Success Stories?

I ran in to a small problem with LCC. There is no agreement between the school and South Carolina DHEC/hospitals that would allow me do ride time and clinicals. I would have to go to NC to do both. It's not a deal breaker but it would be much easier to stay close to home. I will say this. The...

    Online/hybrid Paramedic Program Success Stories?

I start with Lenoir on 17MAR14. I've done my research and remain confident in the program. I'm currently an AEMT in SC. This programs offers me the only opportunity to get to medic. I work a full time 9-5 in the mfg sector. The only negative to me are the 4, 4 day sessions on campus. They run...

    Am I too old???

I started when I was 48. I'm 51 now and have progressed from Basic to Advanced. I work part time with county 911 service. Good gig and fits my schedule well. My advice to you and well, anyone else...mind your back. It's easy to get hurt. If you don't exercise, start.

    AEMT Registry Prep

Aemt I took it an passed on the first try. I did not find it much different from I85 exam with the exception of the pharmacology. I used emt-national-training dot com. They have a NR simulation exam. Good luck.
