How to Lock Patient Care Reports

Does anybody know where I can find a lockable box to store our patient care reports? I need a box with a slit wide enough so that members can put the reports (standard 8 1/2" x 11" size) in once completed. The box would hold the forms until the box is unlocked and they're placed in a more...

NJ EMT-B..Question for those in NJ

I took my NJ EMT-B state test mid-July 2007 and received my card in the mail within 2-3 weeks. However, I have heard recently from somebody on my squad who just took the test that they are now emailing results in less time. Not sure if this is now a standard procedure for the state or if the...

Preoxygenation before intubation in cardiac arrest.

Something that has really helped me with research at school is Google Scholar. It's a search engine for scholarly articles, and depending on your school, it may provide you with a huge assortment of full length articles. http://scholar.google.com/ To tap into your school's online library...

    prom and EMS

Though not aimed specifically at high school proms, an organization I am part of on my college campus organizes an alcohol awareness week every year. As part of that week, we bring in a car that was in a drunk driving wreck, along with news stories of the accident. Last year we brought in a...

What influnced you to work in EMS?

I've been interested in EMS and medicine in general for many years. When I was a kid, I'd always (and still do) look and wonder what was going on when I heard sirens, and I always thought it would be cool if I could do that, but I never seriously considered it. Now that I'm in college and...

    I have a small problem...

One of the squads I ride for is my college campus' squad, and there's one call that always comes to mind when these kinds of calls are brought up. The call was dispatched as a 19 yof with an allergic rxn. Upon my arrival, I found the pt sitting in the lounge, looking extremely embarrassed...

    Wolo Light for Dashboard

I just received the SpecTIR 8 the other day and I'm really impressed with how bright it is. I've already used it on a few calls, and other cars can definetly see it, even in the daytime! Thank you for the recommendation!

    Wolo Light for Dashboard

In New Jersey, EMS volunteers are only allowed to use blue lights, so that's what I went with.

    Wolo Light for Dashboard

Thanks for everyones recommendations. I decided to go with the Whelen SpecTIR 8 LED light, since I do plan to continue on with EMS for awhile. Now I just have to wait until Friday when I come home from school and begin responding with my town's squad :D

    Wolo Light for Dashboard

My squad does not require one, but it is strongly recommended. It is not uncommon to get stuck behind a farm tractor hauling bales of hay around here :glare:

Hello!! I've been reading the posts on this site for a few months now, and I'm finally getting around to my first post. Over the summer, I'll be riding with my towns EMS squad, and I'll begin my EMT-B class in June. Anyways, I've been looking to get a dashboard light for my car to use...
